Fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial and public buildings
A fire alarm system must suit the building's use, fire safety concept and alarm procedures. JB Sicherheitssysteme supports new builds, extensions and modernisation: from technical design and installation to documented commissioning and ongoing support.
Applications
- Production and storage buildings with varying environmental conditions
- Office, administrative and public buildings with defined alarm procedures
- Modifications and extensions to existing systems during ongoing operation
Our services
- Detector selection and positioning based on property requirements
- Control panels, loops, cable routing and labelling
- Fire brigade peripherals: FAT, FBF and FIBS to project specifications
- Programming and testing the agreed control functions
- Commissioning, user training and traceable system documentation
Clarify interfaces early
Detection zones, alarm zones and controls are coordinated with the project team. The fire brigade display panel (FAT) and control panel (FBF) provide information and operation during an incident; whether these are combined in a fire brigade information and control station (FIBS) depends on the property. The responsible authority's technical connection requirements are considered from the preparation stage.
How your project progresses

Technical framework
DIN 14675-1 covers the installation and operation of fire alarm systems. DIN VDE 0833-1/-2 addresses hazard alarm systems and requirements for fire alarm systems. The fire safety concept and local connection requirements also guide the project; the specific scope of work is agreed individually.
System experience
Depending on the property and existing equipment, we work with systems from Bosch, Honeywell / Esser and Hekatron. System versions, interfaces and required access permissions are checked before the project starts.
Manufacturer and system expertiseFire alarm systems: frequently asked questions
What documents are needed for system design?
Up-to-date floor plans, the fire safety concept, information about building use and, for existing systems, the system documentation are helpful. We clarify any missing information before developing the design.
Can an existing fire alarm system be extended?
We check the system's current configuration, available capacity, compatibility and documentation. This determines whether extension or modernisation is appropriate.
Are route cards and maintenance included?
Creating and updating fire brigade route cards, as well as maintenance, can be agreed as separate services. Responsibilities and handover documents are set out in the quotation.
